Writing this stuff is always a weird double-edged sword.  On the one hand, I feel compelled to put it to words and pictures, as drawing comics helps me sort things out personally, but on the other, it puts me back in a frame of mind I’d mostly escaped long ago.  It’s like trying to put yourself in orbit around the sun – you gotta get close enough and hit at the right angle to get latched in, but not so close you get swallowed into the damned thing.  But it’s been worth the effort, I think, for the way it has seemed to resonate with people.
