Kenner’s retool of the Gorilla Alien was pretty dang spiffy, if I do say so myself.  I remember collectors bagging on how much they hated this figure at the time.  Kenner’s problem was offering it to collectors for $5, rather than calling it Alien Hikari and charging us $50 for it.  Seriously! Look at that clear green plastic!  Look at that metallic paint!  This is gorgeous.

That entire series was amazing. Didn’t Aaron Archer cut his teeth on the Alien series?

I was lead designer on Alien Resurrection. Back at Kenner in the late 90’s, That Team also had Batman and Beast Wars. Alien toys were by designers Kevin Mower and Tyrone Keyes. I missed working on the aliens and predator toys by 2 months.
