“Megatron vs. Galvatron: The Mirror Routine”
In the original TF movie, the evil Decepticon Megatron was turned into Galvatron, which would became a recurring theme in several other series. And via time-travel and dimension-hopping, Megatrons and Galvatrons have crossed paths more than once, invariably battling one another in the process. One of those occasions saw Armada Megatron facing off against and destroying a Galvatron who invaded from a G1 universe. I found it interesting to consider what might happen if, aware now of the existence of other dimensions, he then launched his own invasions - an especially fitting turn if it occurred after he had become a Galvatron himself. I chose his Galvatron form from the sequel series, Energon, because a toy of it was used as the basis of the Megatron from the Shattered Glass universe, where the Decepticons are the good guys and the Autobots are evil. So if that was the universe he invaded, once again the two would naturally fight each other, but with a different twist.
The background characters were also chosen with that dynamic in mind, since Energon was filled with more name-changes I could capitalize on.
