Screamer has a 5mm port on his underside for use with flight bases or so he can perch on Transformers figures.
Color sandstone versions will go live sometime on 2/20/19, as any mention of “Ghost” on Shapeways currently triggers a review thanks to copyright trolling by Rolls Royce. Seriously.

Starscream also turned good at the end of the Marvel Generation 2 comics, due to the influence of the Creation Matrix that he stole. And as for Megatron, he turned benevolent and allied with Optimus Prime for a while during a time of peace while the two were Action Masters over in Japanese continuity. The best part of the new ending for me was that the IDW preview comics were seemingly leading up to the original ending. John Barber was writing this story about how Optimus Prime was becoming too bloodthirsty from years of war and Elita-One was trying to pull him back from the edge. The idea, I believe, was to culminate in the original ending of Dark of the Moon, where Optimus would accept Megatron’s offer of a truce, ending the cycle of violence.
But instead, Optimus Prime responded to Megatron’s offer by putting an axe through his head.
So.
Y’know.
Ah-heh.
Oh, Starscream. You done fucked up. You done fucked up BAD.
In other words… you were Starscream.

Fresh from 1984 - and imported over the Atlantic, besides - have a trio of promotional mini-posters featuring Soundwave, the Decepticon jets, and Megatron, made using stills from the earliest Transformers comic and toy commercials. These ridiculously high-resolution scans were made, respectively, from Marvel UK’s Transformers #4, #5 and #6.
I actually scanned these some time ago, but at the time wrote them off as being useless because, due to the terrible color reproduction involved, they were incredibly red-tinged. However, I recently learned about Photoshop’s “Variations” tool (which is kind of embarrassing, given how long I’ve had the program), and my new stab at fixing them up produced much better results. Megatron is still terribly yellowish, though.
Fun fact: in these scans, Starscream is the one with the grey chest and white/red wings! These early ads seem to have been the source of his first Marvel Comics color scheme, which appears to have switched the grey to blue because of comics’ limited color palette at the time.
There were also mini-posters featuring Optimus Prime and the Autobot cars, but their animation designs didn’t change as drastically, so I didn’t scan them at the time. Might go back and do them anyway now…

Normally this would have some kind of really clever title, but I think I’m getting sick (again!) and this is an honest to goodness review, not one of my discussion posts (not that the two are really that separate?). Plus, “Starscream’s Legs” is probably not the most illustrative title this could have. But, below the cut, find a rather spoiler-laden review of an awesome issue of, and good jumping…
