‘Saturday Night Live’ Skewers Anime and J-Pop Fans [Video]
Actress Anna Faris hosted Saturday Night Live over the weekend, appearing in a skit called “J-Pop America Fun Time Now” that parodied American fans of anime and J-Pop and even implied — via Jason Sudeikis as a frustrated Japanese language professor — that the fetishization of Japanese culture in some corners of fandom could border on racism. What do you think of the skit? Is it a fair satire of some of anime’s more extreme fans, or does it go too far?
Fans recreated a playable version of what was supposed to be the last scene of Digital Estate Planning that Chevy Chase refused to shoot.
Dan Harmon explained to reddit:
“He refused to do the “tag” for the Digital Estate Planning episode (the 8 bit video game episode). In the scripted tag, Abed comes to Pierce with the thumb drive he took, and says “Pierce, I’ve been able to adjust some of the code for your Dad’s video game and I’ve made a version I think you might like better.” He puts the thumb drive into a laptop in front of Pierce. We cut to the laptop screen, where we see Pierce’s avatar on a front lawn with the giant floating head of Cornelius. Every time Pierce presses the space bar, his avatar throws a baseball to his father’s head, which gives him a thousand points and a “great job, son!” Pierce presses the space bar a few times, pauses, then leans over and embraces Abed and we fade to black. When Adam Countee pitched that tag, tears instantly rolled down my cheeks, and in point of fact, my eyes are getting watery describing it to you. It was the most important part of the episode and possibly one of the most important moments of the season. I was very upset to hear that it wasn’t shot because someone didn’t feel like shooting it, especially since it was literally the last day of shooting, which meant we’d never be able to pick it up. I regret nothing about how upset I got. My job was to care about my show.”
Don’t know who made the game other than Derferman on Reddit. These are his instructions:
“In Dan Harmon’srecent AMAhe revealed thescene that Chevy Chase refused to film. All of us over at/r/hawkthornethought the scene too good to never see the light of day, so we recreated it. Enjoy :)

You have to worry that cat will get in the crib while the baby sleeps and sleep with them or on them, which can cause SIDS.
EDIT: no this isn’t some damn “cats steal baby’s breath” bullshit, you don’t want ANYTHING in the crib while the baby’s sleeping, and cats are a subset of “anything”
beckyhop asked:
At this very moment Maggie’s looking at baby gates to generally ward the cat away from their room, plus there’s a bunch of other small things you can do to keep cats out of cribs, but honestly, I don’t think this cat could give a crap about two babies. It wouldn’t be in her personality to do much more than to maybe investigate them once and then walk away.

tonight’s shortpacked! is about cats
tonight’s shortpacked from now on will always be about cats
Who is your dad, now?
