Originally my price sheet was just some stock Shortpacked! art, but after taking stock of all the posters I have available to sell, I realized, dude, I’m sharing a booth, I ain’t gonna have room for all that stuff to keep out on display, and so I replaced the stock Shortpacked! art with images of all the posters I’m bringing.
Wow, that should not have been one sentence.
Anyway, I’m bringing all that stuff, Shortpacked! books 1-4, Dumbing of Age book 1, and the new Leslie/Robin licky print.

I think I draw slightly better when I’m drawing Dumbing of Age. I really don’t know what it is. Is it psychological? Leslie doesn’t get this nicely rendered over on Shortpacked!. It’s not like I sit down to draw Shortpacked! and think, man, let’s just crap this one out, it just happens.

The “The Shortpacked!: The Movie” posters arrived in the mail this very morning, on Shortpacked!’s seventh anniversary! Pretty damn sweet! I tried a million times to get the colors to show up correctly on my camera, but this is the best I could do. Imagine it looking roughly 400% prettier.
Though they are limited, there are still some of these left! You can even splurge and get a piece of original character artwork from me as well! All proceeds go to the “David and Maggie need to get the hell out of the house for once” fund.
I will start putting some of these in the mail to those who ordered them just as soon as it stops being The Deluge out there.
In Shortpacked!’s final week, let’s count down the top ten Shortpacked! strips!

I remembered I had this comic in the Joyce & Walky! free archives that explained Head Alien II’s origin, so here I am reposting it on here. It’s written from the viewpoint of HAII when he’s in Shortpacked!’s “real” universe, so the last row of panels of this stuff hasn’t yet happened to the iteration that’s currently in Shortpacked!.
Tl;dr This current SP! storyline takes place between the second and third rows of panels.
I don’t know if you guys read either of David Willis’s comics—he makes Shortpacked! and Dumbing of Age. And one of his comics just made me really happy in a sex positivity related way:
I love that David Willis spends time combating rape culture, promoting sex positivity, making comics with queer characters—Ethan, the protagonist of Shortpacked! is gay—and refusing to let his politics overwhelm what he’s really making: funny, solid, usually lighthearted comics. Partly because he knows he’s an ally, and his voice shouldn’t be the center of these political conversations. And he’s really talented, and oh man, basically just, David Willis appreciation post.
Anyway, this comic pinpoints something that’s important and doesn’t get talked about enough.
So yeah, if you’re a queer geek and/or a feminist geek I really recommend this guy’s work.
Sometimes amidst all this praise, I remember I’m still partly that little mal-educated fundie boy from backwater Indiana, and I worry I’ve raised everyone’s expectations regarding my Progressiveness unreasonably high. WHAT IF I SCREW UP???
If I’d drawn sexist jerk comics all these years, nobody’d expect anything from me! But now I’m trapped. TRAAAAPPED.
