THE NIGHT BEFORE THE END OF THE WORLD! Four years ago, Orion Pax retook the name “Optimus Prime” to prove that he still embodied all the heroism and nobility that legend associated with the title, despite it’s real-life history of failure and corruption. But ever since then, a question has hung over Optimus that now - as old arguments and personal conflicts must be set aside on the eve of the final battle with Unicron - he is given cause to ask once more. Despite his best efforts, like the Primes before him… has Optimus Prime fallen victim to that terrible, inevitable legacy as well? The penultimate issue of the series, OPTIMUS PRIME #24 is the final moment of calm before the end of everything and it’s annotated on TFWiki now!

Eh, Optimus Prime doesn’t believe in evolution.  In the comics, Optimus Prime has met his supernatural creator, and he carries His lifeforce around in his chest.  And in the cartoon, Optimus Prime knows he was built by Quintessons and that you get more Transformers by asking a golden disco ball.  There is no breeding or mating on Cybertron, and thus no evolution.  

Optimus Prime is pretty aware, however, that a planet’s dominant species can destroy its ecosystem!  That’s why he’s on Earth and not home!

Best reading order is kind of subjective, I think.  There are different legitimate approaches.  I don’t have a list of my own.  I recommend googling it.

New from Hasbro - a crossover! Transformers and Skating.  The Powermaster Optimus Prime mold has been redecorated, and a skate ramp and skateboard were included for the Titan Masters figure, Shreddicus.  How about that?

I was super going to ignore that Optimus-Prime-Is-The-Thirteenth-Prime stuff for my Original Thirteen Transformers groupshot, but then I realized the only Aligned Optimus Prime I have out for display is Rescue Bots Prime, which won me over.

transformers optimus prime being THIRTEEN is the worst thing ever and i wish i hadn't read that damned covenant of primus i hope that's forgotten going forward i mean it certainly doesn't seem to be the case in the current RID cartoon unless Micronus is being an even bigger dick than he is already
