Everyone’s been asking me, hey, when can I get a book collection of Dumbing of Age? Well, the answer is now, with this Kickstarter fundraiser!
What is Dumbing of Age? It’s a webcomic you can find on the Internet, and it’s about freshman entering... — Everyone’s been asking me, *hey, when can I get a book collection of Dumbing of Age?* Well, the answer is now, with **this Kickstarter fundraiser!**
What is *Dumbing of Age?* It’s a webcomic you can find on the Internet, and it’s about freshman entering college. It stars Joyce, a fundamentalist Christian who was previously homeschooled, and her unlikely new friend Dorothy, an atheist who wants to be President. They’re surrounded by a varied cast of fully-realized characters.
This book would collect the first approximate year of strips from the website – including new commentary, behind-the-scenes artwork, and character profiles – into an 185-page tome with luxurious glossy paper.
To print 1500 copies of this first book, I’ll need to **raise approximately $9000.** Add postage and tax costs and the like, and that means I’ll have to raise approximately $11,000 total. So that’s the number on the board!
Now, I know some of you guys read my other webcomics, and the second-most popular question I’ve been getting, after the “when Dumbing Age book please???” one, is “when are you reprinting Shortpacked! Book One, which is sold out and out of print?”
Well, tell you what. If **this Kickstarter fundraiser** reaches $20,000, it’ll happen. There will be Shortpacked! Book Ones again. And everyone will be happy, and the world will be wonderful!
So, hey, let’s **do this thing.**

**The Dumbing of Age Book 4 Kickstarter** is 200% funded, holy crap! Thank you, everyone. I put up a second poll on dumbingofage.com earlier today – it didn’t have long to run until we passed the $40k mark, but when it did, Billie was on top! The Billie magnet will be 2"x4", same as Walky and Sal.
I’ll be putting up a new poll on dumbingofage.com soon to reflect our dwindling choices for the next magnet. And after that threshold, the next one is JOYCE MAGNETS FOR EVERYONE (who purchased snail-mailable goods).

I realize people do get haircuts in real life, but man, how I’ve grown attached to the old hairstyle SECRET CHARACTER used to have. ^_^;

Dumbing of Age’s time progresses so slowly, any decision to do a haircut has to be, like, super considered, ‘cuz that hair ain’t growin’ back any time soon.

But I am actually quite happy with it! SECRET CHARACTER now has her own head silhouette, rather than being kinda just a flat-topped Joyce.
