I was not ready
stirredbrew asked:
On Becky’s Walkypedia page it says she “has apparently seen Jurassic World,” solely based on Becky demonstrating knowledge that Chris Pratt is in the film and he has raptor friends.
What makes it extra funny is that I wrote that strip before the movie even came out.
stirredbrew asked:
:O

10 Things We Want To See In Jurassic World
You missed one:
I was 17 when that film came out and I think “Jurassic Park” gave almost every girl I knew an instant loner nerd fetish because of Jeff Goldblum.
#12: Feathers god dammit
I like my CGI dinosaurs to be monstrous and feather free, thank you.
Nothing from the first three JP movies that made the dinosaurs scary were reptile traits. What makes dinosaurs scary is that they’re giant bird things. It’s why Jurassic Park was successful – reimagining dinosaurs as something other than slow plodding reptiles. Making them like birds.
I really can’t understand the mindset. Like, what people actually want out of Jurassic Park dinosaurs are… birds. But not the feathers! Oh, lord, no! They can’t be fuzzy! They have to be lizards! But, you know, lizards who walk on their hind legs and flit around like awesome warmblooded jaws on crack and … well, basically nothing like lizards. Lizards that act like birds. But not ALL the way like birds! Because birds are dumb because the only bird we know about is a chicken, I guess.

And let’s be honest, any one who isn’t frightened by the idea of a giant chicken has probably not turned a keen eye to the behaviour of chickens.
Birds are way friggin’ more scary than any dumb-ass salamander.
In fact, there is no proof whatsoever that the world and its fossil layers are millions of years old. No scientist observed dinosaurs die. Scientists only find the bones in the here and now, and because many of them are evolutionists, they try to fit the story of the dinosaurs into their view.
Other scientists, called creation scientists, have a different idea about when dinosaurs lived. They believe they can solve any of the supposed dinosaur mysteries and show how the evidence fits wonderfully with their ideas about the past, beliefs that come from the Bible.
HEY KIDS!
DINOSAURS!
It’s an exciting time to be a dinosaur paleontologist,” said Norell. The feather findings “have rocked the world in terms of how we think of” dinosaurs, he said. “Instead of giant lizards, they were basically weird birds.
