Did you take music theory in school? it's just, that is some glorious bar chord humor and I wonder if you were ever compelled to memorize all those damn notes.

I took years of piano lessons as a child and more pertinently I learned how to play the ukulele this past spring because they were distributed for free on a boat and we all had a lot of free time.  In fact, Danny’s uke is the blue one everyone got in their cabin, complete with a booklet quickstart tutorial by Molly Lewis.  

But the more honest answer is… I dunno, just Google the tabs, then draw them.  I try to play them out myself first to make sure they’re not bad tabs, but I don’t have to have them all personally memorized, no.  Just gotta Google it.

Another part of the process was sending these strips (three months ago) to Joel Watson, who ukes it up sometimes, to make sure a more experienced set of eyes thought the humor “scanned.”  I am but a novice and didn’t want to write something inscrutable.
