With TFCon Toronto in over a week, I’m scrambling to get some things made to have for sale at the show. Here is one idea I’m working on. A Tailgate inspired combiner head, for Combiner Wars Cyclonus! If your a MTMTE fan like me, this bizarre idea may intrigue you. If all goes well, I’ll announce the final version on Monday, which will come as a finished, color product.

Top: Combiner Wars Swindle and Unite Warriors Swindle!

Middle: I want UW Swindle to have the black thighs that CW Swindle has, but there’s too many pins in the knee to separate out just the thigh, so I just whole-hog pulled the CW’s legs off at the hip balljoints and gave them to UW Swindle. The tans are aaaaaaaaaaaaalmost the same color. UW Swindle’s tan is like a smidge more desaturated.

Bottom: Transformed to vehicle mode to make sure the difference in plastic color wasn’t more obvious once the two tans were right next to each other. The feet look off, but, like, those are painted anyway, so they’re gonna. Otherwise the legs hide underneath the hood out of view.

So, hmm.

Give CW Swindle’s black rifle to UW Swindle, maybe paint UW Swindle’s hands black (easiest thing to paint), and I might have my ideal Swindle.
