Most academic folks who want something closest to the original text, as I have encountered, make their own translations for that very reason.  So, uh, pick up some Hebrew and Greek, I guess.

I think David “Walky” Willis was the first person I saw suggest it. I just ran with the idea. The comics have also drawn some parallels, if maybe not quite so literally.

The Bible makes a lot more sense when you realise they took out the part where the whole reason the Devil became a bad guy and tempted Eve with the apple was because Satan was traumatised as a child when God trained three evil apples to push the Devil’s parents off a cliff
