Eh, it’s totally fine to get or be mad.  Just, like, don’t issue profanity-laden demands to the author.  Keep that stuff to your own space!   If I hunted down Tom Batiuk to chew him out in person for things I don’t like about Funky Winkerbean, he’d be within his right to hold me down and beat me with a bat.
