In Shortpacked, Amber and Mike were my fave couple. I grew to really like Mike as a character. In DoA, you haven't done much with him yet. Do you have plans for him eventually or is he meant to just be a supporting character for now?
The problem with Mike is that everything his character provides can be used better by other characters. Need a character to deliver painful truths? It hurts more to come from somebody you like, rather than that jackass in another wing. Joyce needs to hear things like that from Sarah, not Mike. Need a troll or a prankster? Carla’s already living there in the wing. And Walky and Becky are a better deliverer of wise-ass ribbing.
Mike’s sort of crowded out. To find his own distinct niche, he kind of has to go Super Asshole, and that’s not terribly fun.
