But also an interesting thing in this shot (from Movie Number 3) (again pointed out to me by a reader) is that Marty is dressed as a cowboy just before he goes back in time. And young cowboys get called kid, like “The Sundance Kid” or “Billy the Kid,” so you might call him “Marty The Kid”. But Doc dressed him and its the 50s so he’s got atomic designs on his clothes, so Marty’s actual nickname would be… THE ATOMIC KID.
