Can I just say how much I will always love this couple? Perfect, perfect, perfect couple.
It’s like David Willis looked into my heart one day, and then drew all the things that I love into two people and made those two people fall in love and have a baby.
All I can really say to that is: Damn you, Willis.
Aw, shucks.
I decided already that I hated the new Amber art, so I drew a new one. I’m pretty fickle. This one has more personality in it, rather than Amber standing around holding a prop.
I also drew a new Walky and Dina, which I’ll post some time later today.
Speaking of Amber and Billie, while putting together my Dumbing of Age book, I realized I should probably have stock images of my characters that aren’t nearly two years old now. Some of that 2010 art is looking kinda dated to me!
So have some new Amber and Billie art (middle) and the original drawings (outsides).
They are built very similarly. Maybe I should have drawn one of them and one of the more slender characters, just so everyone doesn’t take a look at this and assume I’m unilaterally plumping up everybody’s boobs.
This new storyline began on a Wednesday and was unannounced beforehand. I wanted it to feel sudden and unexpected, not unlike learning about a family member’s death in real life. Instead of being all “Hey, new storyline starts on Monday!” on the previous Friday, as I usually do…
And now you know more about how my brain works.
