Political Cartoon By Alex HoffmanWhen Falls The Coliseum - 1/20/12

It’s a bit too easy to pick on alex, but I woon’t let that stop me.
I mean come on. Lady tied to the train tracks, how cliché can you go? And why is there a mountie in the comic? And why are the speech bubbles arranged so that it’s not clear what order they’re supposed to be read?

Maybe this is a manga!

The hat. Of. Evil!
The mustache. Of. Evil!
The clothes. Of. Evil!
How can we be losing the War on Terror when all the evil people so considerately dress like villains?

I made a post about this comic before, but I just deleted it because my commentary was a bit lazy.
In stead, lets ask a simple question: who is this?
Is it Mahmud Ahmedinejad, the president of Iran? Nope, he has a full chin beard, and usually wears a suit.
Is it Ali Khamenei, or one of the religious leaders of Iran? Nope, they dress in black robes with black turbans, and have long beards. In fact, interesting bit about Islamic hygiene is, that men are expected to grow a beard, but keep their mustache short. Saddam Hussein was in fact a Ba’athist; a political ideology that’s a mix of Pan-Arabic nationalism and socialist ideals. It is also secular in that while it gives great value to Islam, it doesn’t impose it upon non-Muslim arabs.
“Hat like Gadhafi” is a weird assertion, since he was known for flamboyant, changing, African clothes. His headgear in particular was a Kofia, which is worn in Eastern Africa, mostly in Swahili-speaking areas. Not in Iran, the similar headwear is called Taqiyah, and it stands higher on the head, and is usually decorated differently than a Kofia.
As for Bin Laden, he just dressed in traditional Arab clothes, but was also known to wear a camoflague shirt on top of it in his video appearances.
What I’m trying to say is, that it’s kinda dick-ish to lump people together by the mode of their dress, and doubly so if you can’t even tell the difference between different fashions, or know who you’re supposed to draw.

The war against Saddam ended in a few months, the conquering lasted for seven years.
But of course, to uncle Chuck, the “Fascism” means “Islam”. So I guess the war would be over untill every last muslim was killed.

man i totally remember defeating fascism forever in 1945 it’s a good thing there’s no longer any fascism
