Here is a partial list of “creatives” who have confirmed for me in person or online that they have faked or are currently faking depression. They each have had their own reasons for doing it, as a career move, in order to avoid family/responsibility, etc.
None of these people have been willing to join me in my confession but a few of them are considering making some kind of announcement in the next few days. It is an uncertain career move but I choose to value honesty above all else.
My depression, on the other hand, is entirely real.
Until I wring enough money out of unwitting dupes.
